TFN:Mini-Con® Manchester 2024 is this weekend!
As the convention will be taking place in a new venue for this year, we wanted to give you a little heads up on the directions you'll need. We'll also include some details on parking discounts too!
Join us on this virtual journey - then we'll do it all for real this weekend!
(Please note - this event is sold out. We will not be selling "door tickets" in the morning. We will make a decision on this in the afternoon, depending on venue capacity - accordingly, we cannot guarantee any more tickets will become available. Thank you for your understanding)
THE VENUE
Especially useful for Sat-Nav users, here are the details for this year's venue;
Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel
Water Street
Manchester
M3 4JQ
Tel: 0161 832 118
WALKING DIRECTIONS
The venue is within walking distance of all of Manchester's main railway stations, but your closest options are Salford Central, Deansgate, or Manchester Oxford Road.
For those travelling via Piccadilly station, there are regular services to Oxford Road and Deansgate which only take a couple of minutes - there's also a free Hopper Bus which will take you to Quay Street, just around the corner from the venue!
With TFNationals arriving from different directions, we've decided the easiest way to help the most people, is to start our walkthrough from St Peter's Square, in central Manchester.
The blue line represents the easiest path to the venue - as you'll see, it's essentially a straight line.
(We've also included the orange line, as sat navs sometimes advise you to go this way - don't worry, either will work)
At the junction of St Peter's Square and Oxford Street, you'll find this big round building - Manchester Central Library. Just across the road from it, you'll see the a redbrick building, called the Midland hotel.
This is where your journey begins - it's pretty much a straight line, and is approximately a ten minute walk.
Another view of your starting position - with the Midland Hotel on your left.
There are lots of restaurants and bars along the road, if you want to grab something.
You can actually see the rear part of the hotel at the end of this straight road.
Manchester is a city which is always transforming, pun intended; so be mindful of any building works in the area.
You'll reach a fork in the road at the end of your walk. You can take either the path, or continue along Quay Street - either way, you'll be turning left when you get to Water Street on the other side.
This is the view from the top of Quay Street, with the hotel ahead of you to the left. The entrace is to the left.
You've made it!
PARKING DISCOUNT
The venue has a small carpark and spaces are not able to be booked in advance. Instead, we're able to share a discount with you for several nearby NCP carparks. You need to register in advance for this discount so please read this part carefully, drivers - here's what you need to do;
- Download the NCP App;
- Create an account;
- Attach card details;
- Complete account set-up and add vehicle registration;
- Head to your profile and enter promo code MANCHESTERHOTELS
- Start a session by choosing a location (eg: Spinningfields - this is the closest);
- Press "Park Now", and choose the length of time to be parked;
- You can either select pay now, or pay when you leave, through the app.
That brings out little walkthrough to an end! Hopefully, you'll see from these images that it really is a nice, straightforward journey from the city centre. We look forward to welcoming you!
