New Convention Announced
You asked, we listened!
Following back-to-back sell out conventions in Manchester, TFNationals have not been shy about asking for events in other locations. After viewing lots of potential sites, we’re excited to announce we’ll be extending our celebration of the 40thanniversary of the Transformers a little further south, with TFN:Mini-Con® Reading!
Event Details
The convention is scheduled to take place on Saturday 23rd November 2024 at the University of Reading’s Great Hall.
TFN: Mini-Cons aim to give you everything you love about TFNation, in a smaller package. Intended to compliment the larger, August convention, these events give attendees another opportunity to meet friends, add to their collections, and celebrate those big fighting robots from Cybertron!
This is not a replacement for our Birmingham or Manchester events – we don’t expect attendees to travel to every event we host, so please don't feel like you must; but if you are able to attend, it'd be brilliant to see you!
We’ve found TFN: Mini-Cons are particularly good for local fans and new attendees wishing to try out a smaller event before visiting our big August showpiece – but of course, everybody is welcome!
Ticket sales will open at 12:00pm (BST) on Saturday 15th June 2024.
Just like Manchester, TFN: Mini-Con® Reading will be a limited capacity event. Our most recent mini-con sold out very quickly, so don’t wait around if you’d like to attend.
Trader and Forge applications will open over the coming days – we’ll start reviewing applications after 14 days (application approvals and payments will follow a little closer to the event).
Venue Details
Approximately a 15-minute walk from Reading Railway Station and just a few minutes away from the town centre, The Great Hall is an impressive events venue which we believe will be a… well… Great fit for our attendees!
The hall is wheelchair accessible, with generous entrance ramps, space for wide aisles and comfortable room for seating at the front of our panel area.
The venue also includes free weekend parking for up to 200 vehicles, with numerous other free (and affordable, paid) options nearby.

TRANSPORT LINKS
Just a short walk away, Reading Railway Station is a major interchange (multiple different routes stop there). This means it has great Transport links right across the UK.
Reading is also easily accessible to attendees travelling from central London, with a journey on the Elizabeth line taking just 30 – 40 minutes, depending on your exact stop. (Remember, you’ll need a ticket when travelling outside of Zone 6 / beyond West Drayton)
Likewise, Heathrow Airport is also easily accessible by train too!
FOOD & DRINK
Whether you want to hang out with friends and bots, play some pool, or just take a relaxed moment away from the con, “The Dairy” is your one-stop-shop for food, alcoholic and soft drinks.
Located on site, just a couple of minutes stroll from the Great Hall under a covered walkway, The Dairy showcases home-grown products and also has some great vegan options available, all at friendly prices.

(*Up to three children are allowed entry to TFNation events, per ticket holding adult aged 18 or over.)
